๐Ÿ“Š A New Milestone for MY STORY: Our Comparative Research Report Is Now Available! ๐ŸŒ

We are excited to share the publication of the Comparative Research Report “Position of Young Women in Serbia, Italy, Portugal, Morocco, Lebanon and Egypt”, developed as part of the Erasmus+ project MY STORY – Storytelling to Combat Gender-Based Inequalities in European and MEDA Countries.

Behind this report are months of research, collaboration and meaningful conversations across six countries. By combining desk research, a shared survey involving 1,303 respondents, and focus group discussions with 322 participants, the report offers valuable insights into the realities, experiences and challenges faced by young women.

From education and employment to gender-based violence, discrimination, participation in sports, decision-making, health and media representation, the research highlights both the progress achieved and the inequalities that still need to be addressed.

๐ŸŒ Making Knowledge Accessible to Everyone

We believe that research becomes more powerful when it reaches the people who can use it to create change. That is why the report is available in five languages: English, Serbian, Italian, Portuguese and Arabic, allowing its findings and recommendations to reach wider audiences across our partner countries.

But this publication is more than the completion of a research activity. It is an important step forward in the MY STORY journey.

The findings will help shape the next phases of the project, including the development of innovative non-formal education methods, the MY STORY Guidelines, creative storytelling activities and awareness campaigns that challenge stereotypes, promote gender equality and encourage more inclusive communities.

๐Ÿค Six Countries, One Shared Commitment

Led by Hate Fighters Network (Serbia), the MY STORY project brings together Beyond Borders (Italy), FuteBola Sport (Portugal), Euro-Med EVE Maroc (Morocco), Youth Development Organization (Lebanon), and Jovesolides Egypt (Egypt).

Running from 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2027, this European Union co-funded project aims to strengthen the capacities of youth organizations to address gender-based discrimination and violence through education, storytelling and community engagement.

Together, we are working to create spaces where young women can share their experiences, have their voices heard and become active agents of change.

๐Ÿ’š Every voice matters. Every experience deserves to be heard. And every story has the power to inspire change.
